I confess 
I can’t stop thinking about you
your kind brown eyes
alight and mischievous with laughter
across two bowls of noodles and
the shapes your hands make
when you talk
I kept feeling like I knew you
from somewhere and like
I might like knowing you
for some while to come
you hugged me
briefly and I knew
I’d like to have you
in my arms again
