Forget-You-Not

you have gone, but
everything reminds me,
like yellow post-it notes
and office memos
tacked up everywhere:
“while you were out”s
and “don’t forget”s
all down the rain-wet streets,
enveloping this house
where every move
incurs a paper cut.
